May 13th to 16th | “Jewish Portraits
”Concept: Rachel Salamander and Anat Feinberg
In cooperation with The Bayerische Fernsehen
The discussions will be recorded by the Bavarian Broadcasting Company, Bayerisches Fernsehen.
The Holocaust and the founding of Israel are pivotal events in the history of the Jewish people in the 20th century. There are very few people alive today who have witnessed both. “We’re the last ones left, ask us anything you like,” is a line in one of Hans Sahl’s poems. Because now is the last chance to talk to these contemporary witnesses, we have invited internationally renowned Jewish personalities to Schloss Elmau to speak with them about their lives. They include renowned authors and literary critics, actors and musicians, politicians, scientists and entrepreneurs | Details
