Welcome to the Schloss Elmau Experience for Kids

Schloss Elmau is renowned not only for being one of the world’s best spas but also as one of the best five-star resorts for families. In Schloss Elmau, opposites enrich each other. While parents relish heavenly tranquility and time alone in the Badehaus or in the Oriental Hamam – reserved exclusively for adults – their children can play to their hearts content in the Family Spa or the Nature Spa either alone or with their parents, or the can join the Kid’s Club or participate in one of the great sports, Edutainment or Adventure Vacation programs.

Private and Group Swimming Classes

Swimming teacher Andrea Stöcker will be happy to teach your loved ones to swim. In small groups (min. 3 to max. 5 children) in approx. 4 sessions of 60 minutes, your children will have a lot of fun and learn to swim completely alone (€ 22 per child/hour). We also offer private lessons (€ 63 per hour).

Edutainment Weeks

The legendary Schloss Elmau Edutainment Weeks are conceived and conducted by renowned artists, authors and educators. They uphold the idea that discerning travels are educational and the discerning education brings adventurous travels to new worlds. The number of participants for the Edutainment Weeks is limited.

Children that can sit still and listen for an hour are welcome to come to all concerts.

Adventure Weeks

Age range for Adventure Weeks: 6 to 10 years. 
(In the summer vacation period, there is a special sports festival for teens. Details can be found under “For Teens”)

During Adventure Vacation Weeks, children and teens can choose from very exciting, culturally discerning and next-to-nature programs. An experienced team of educators organizes a unique, creative, challenging vacation program like no other in the world that includes the very best from the arts, sports, leisure games and adventure activies with tons of fun for children and teens.

The weeks always begin on Sunday evening and end Saturday evening. The program for children is written daily and posted every morning. It includes elements such as quizzes, ralleys, games, improvisational theater, shadow games, audio theater, acting out scenes, creative workshops, torch-lit hikes, campfires, excursions, acrobatics and experiments, singing and reading. The goal is to encourage children/teens to use their creativity. All children can participate in the Adventure Vacation / Teen Programs without having to formally sign up. In this way, every child can decide for themselves on a daily basis whether or not they want to take part or do something else.

Winter Sports

• Sled rental free of charge, sledding hill directly out the front door.
• Ice skate rental free of charge, two ice rinks directly on the premises.
• Group or private skiing classes for children 3 years and older at an additional charge.
• Horse-drawn sleigh rides at an additional charge.

Kid’s Club

Enjoy a break and the complete tranquility with a soothing treatment in the Badehaus while loving caregivers entertain your small children from Monday to Sunday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. The Kid’s Club is open to children from 1 to 5 years, providing they can be happily separated from their mothers.

We will gladly babysit your children for 15 € s per hour in your room.
Our Guest Relations staff will organize a babysitter.

Creative Kids

“Creative Kids” is a new Kid’s Club program during vacation times. It is intended for children from 4 to 6 years. “Creative Kids” is an exciting indoor/outdoor program with games, sports, handicrafts, building projects, dancing singing, experimenting and painting for the “big kids” in the Kid’s Club. These children are cared or by the Adventure Vacation team. Times daily during vacation periods: 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.
