Dietmar Mueller-Elmau, CEO, founded Fidelio and Opera, the world’s market leaders in hotel software. He knows the international landscape of the luxury hotel market like no other. He personally directed the reconstruction and expansion of Schloss Elmau and in only three years’ time since its reopening in 2007 has transformed it into one of the world’s best hotels.

Nikolai Bloyd, Hotel Director & General Manager, spent the last five years as Resident Manager of the prestigious Relais & Châteaux property „Auberge du Soleil“ in Napa Valley, the recipient of one Michelin star and always considered the benchmark property for customer service inside the United States. Prior to Auberge du Soleil, Mr. Bloyd spent over seven years at the Bill Harlan-owned Relais & Châteaux Meadowood, in various capacities, including Sales and Catering Manager as well as managing the flagship restaurant, a recipient of three Michelin stars.

Christian Magewski serves as the Assistant General Manager and F&B Director at Schloss Elmau. Previously he held the position of Food & Beverage Director for nine years in the Victoria Jungfrau Grand Hotel & Spa in Interlaken, one of the best hotels in Switzerland, as well as holding the same position at the Kempinski Hotel Adriatic in Croatia. He is also an expert examiner at the Blevoirpark Hotel Management College in Zürich.

Mario Corti, Executive Chef, has been awarded the coveted Michelin Star several times. He received the honor “Rising Star of the Year“ by Feinschmecker in 2005 and also German Chef of the Year awarded by Der Grosse Restaurant & Hotel Guide. He gained further international experience as Executive Chef at the Mandarin Oriental in Singapore and Hong Kong. The Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group is synonymous with excellence, luxury and belongs to the best 5* hotels in the world.

Marie-Helene Krebs, Chef Sommelière and Manager of the Michelin Star Restaurant Luce d’Oro, has been awarded numerous prizes and is considered one of the best in her profession.

Giuseppe Papatola is Manager of the Fidelio Italian Restaurant. Giuseppe taught for many years at the Vocational School in Bad Wörishofen. There he dazzled his students with a virtually unlimited range of theoretical and practical knowledge attained from over 40 years of high-end luxury hotel experience.

Barbara Scheler, our Rooms & Sales Director, is one of the longest tenured employees at Schloss Elmau. Over the past twelve years, she received her formal training at Schloss Elmau, then finished her education as Hotel and Catering Specialist, and rose to top- level management at the hotel.

Executive Housekeeper Zorica Landes was Executive Housekeeper at Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten Kempinski Munich for nine years prior to Schloss Elmau. During this time she received the world’s highest recognition in her profession from the Leading Hotels Quality Assurance.

Spa Director Dr. Imke König is one of few spa directors with thorough medical training. Prior to Schloss Elmau, she was head of 70 therapists in one of the largest hot springs in Austria.

Artistic Director Dr. Silke Zimmermann was formerly responsible for international press coordination for Sony Classical & Jazz and prior to that was Head of Marketing & PR at the Berliner Festspiele and the Berlinale. She is organizes the entire cultural program at Schloss Elmau.
