Opened in 2015, the Retreat is nestled in a secluded hillside location 150 meters west of the Hideaway. During the G7 summits in 2015 and 2022, the property served as the residence for the heads of state and government.
The Retreat features 47 exceptionally spacious rooms and suites (55–200 m²) equipped with silent, inductive cooling, an adults-only spa with a Japanese onsen, a family spa, a gym, a yoga pavilion, a library lounge, and four restaurants serving Mediterranean and Japanese cuisine. Across all spaces, the cosmopolitan interior and lighting design artfully blends Asian lightness, timeless Italian elegance, and precious, natural materials from around the world with breathtaking views of the Wetterstein Mountains and the rushing Ferchenbach stream.
The Retreat is the hotel of choice for guests who appreciate a property that is as intimate as it is immensely spacious, set in a dream location where they can completely withdraw from it all and experience untouched nature. Guests of the Retreat also enjoy access to all available amenities at the Hideaway.
