Wintersports & Adventure

In winter, children can look forward to skiing, snowboarding, snow tubing, ski safaris, snowshoeing, dog sledding workshops, curling, ice skating and ice hockey on the ice rink in front of the hotel and tobogganing. Our kids & teens program includes great activities such as joint winter hikes, building snowmen, writing winter stories or painting winter pictures.

Downhill skiing lessons for children

Tiny skiers (ages 4 and up) can take their first steps in the snow with a mixture of skiing, games, and entertainment. Attentive children's ski instructors teach, supervise, laugh with, and comfort them.
Group classes (from 4 persons) take place from Monday to Friday 

  • Depart: 9:00 for beginners to Kranzberg / 8:30 for advanced skiers to Seefeld
  • Classes run from: 9:30 to 12:15
  • Return: approx. 12:45 from Kranzberg / approx. 13:15  from Seefeld
  • New participants can join the courses on Mondays and Tuesdays
  • The ski school selects the ski region according to participants’ ability level and snow conditions

Archery

After an introduction to archery techniques, you'll will receive tips on improving your shooting technique from 9-time German champion Christian Kuffer. 
Archery can be booked as part of our program. We offer weekly sessions for adults (14+), teens (12+), kids (6+), and families.

Monday | 4D Indoor Archery for Families with Kids (6+) 19.00 – 21.00
Tuesday | 3D Archery for Families with Kids (6+) 15.00 – 17.00

Curling

Curling is held multiple times a week. This precision sport involves aiming to place your team's ice stock as close as possible to the target, known as the "Daube." The trainer will explain the rules of the game and provide tips to improve your technique

Dog Sledding Workshop

Are you fascinated by sled dogs? Then this workshop is perfect for you!
Learn the Musher language, practice steering a dog sled, and take the reins yourself to lead your own team. To round off the day, enjoy a snowy hike through the Bavarian Alps – connected to your husky and surrounded by breathtaking winter scenery.

Ice Rink

Enjoy pure winter joy on our private ice rink right in front of the hotel! While the sun makes the sparkling ice surface shine, you can leisurely skate around or burn off some energy with a game of ice hockey. Rent ice skates or hockey sticks and experience unforgettable moments on the ice – all set in the breathtaking mountain backdrop!

Hockey

With our complimentary ice skates and complete hockey equipment, your family match will be the highlight of your winter adventure. We provide sticks, pucks, and even goals, so you can enjoy exciting games together on the ice.

Sledding Fun

Enjoy a thrilling 3 km ride from Elmauer Alm to Schloss Elmau. The track, winding over Zotzenberg, offers an exciting experience with a few fast-paced turns. For added fun, we provide sleds on the hotel grounds that you can borrow for free.

Iglu Village Zugspitze

Experience the unique Iglu Village at 2,600 meters above sea level, on Germany's highest mountain. Admire the intricate ice sculptures and enjoy a drink at the snow bar with breathtaking views of the Alps.
