Individual Massage: Focus

Do you feel tension or pain in your neck or back, suffer from muscle pain or tendonitis, or generally prefer stronger massages? Your therapist will use intensive techniques such as kneading, targeted, deep strokes or trigger points to address your individual problem areas, working on muscle, connective, and fascial tissue.

Individual Massage: Relax

You feel exhausted, stressed or tired, and just want to relax? Your therapist will pamper and relax you with gentle touches, sweeping strokes, circular manipulations, and passive joint movements.

Deep Tissue

An intense massage of deep-lying muscles and connective tissue structures using knuckles, elbows, and fists. Deep-tissue massage is only applied to certain parts of the body.

Signature Relax Massage

A very specific, deeply effective anti-stress massage developed by our Medical Spa Director Dr. Imke König. A variety of techniques are used to release neurotransmitters to regulate the autonomic nervous system and encourage deep relaxation. For many of our guests, this is the most wonderful massage they have ever experienced.

Foot Reflexology Massage

A vigorous, intense massage of the reflexology zones on the foot, for a positive, reflexive effect on the internal organs and other areas of the body.

Foot and lower-leg Massage

For anyone who wants to treat their feet to a special kindness and walk on cloud nine again. A gentle but intensive treatment to relax and dissolve all tension in the feet and the leg muscles.

Shiatsu

This Japanese pressure-point massage is carried out on your clothed body while you lie on a futon. The energy pathways in the body, known as meridians, are balanced through pressure and stretching, and existing blockages are loosened. Afterwards, you ,feel light, relaxed and full of energy.

Lomilomi Nui

The world’s most lovingly delivered full body massage comes from Hawaii: Lomilomi Nui blends rhythmic music, plenty of warm oil, sweeping touches, mindful body work, stretches, and trust in your therapist and their hands. Finding acceptance and peace is the first step to relaxation!

Healing Stone

A king among massages, this special treatment using hot basalt stones comes from Arizona. Smooth, polished stones are heated in a water bath, oiled, and then moved across all the muscled parts of your body. As your blood circulation is boosted, you will feel more relaxed and return to the daily routine feeling refreshed and rejuvenated.

Abhyanga

This full body oil massage is the most popular treatment in Ayurveda, the traditional Indian art of healing that has been practiced for thousands of years: A generous amount of warm oil is massaged into the entire body using special rhythmic, connective strokes. Deeply calming and at the same time intensely touching, Abhyanga is regarded as a classic relaxation treatment and gently loosens even deeply-rooted tension.

Traditional Thai Massage

For a traditional Thai massage, you lie on a mat on the floor (wearing loose, comfortable clothing). Traditional Thai massage is characterized by intense pressure techniques using the thumbs and heels of the hand, combined with passive stretches in which the guest is moved into yoga positions and held there. Because this activates the body’s energy lines (sen), the traditional Thai massage is also commonly used for medical indications.

Thai Oil Massage

This relaxing full body massage is performed on a massage table. The combination of oil with pressure-point techniques from traditional Thai massage ensures that this treatment has a relaxing effect while also stimulating the flow of energy.

Thai Oil Neck & Back Massage

Intensive massage of the back and neck muscles, to ease and relax this habitually tense area, carried out with oil on a massage table.
Heated herbal stamps can be booked optionally.

Thai Foot Massage

Harmonizing and stimulating foot massage according to the Thai tradition. Targeted stimulation of the traditional pressure points serves to restore your energy balance.

Various medical treatments that lead to the relief of (perhaps chronic) pain and/or physical dysfunction.

Lymphatic Drainage

Complex medical massage to stimulate the lymphatic system, which supports the body’s lymph flow. Particularly effective after injuries, surgical removal of lymph nodes, or to stimulate the immune system.

Tuina

Tuina, a classic Chinese massage treatment, has been around for more than 2,000 years. Techniques include both massage and passive mobilization strokes, some with oil, some on dry skin. Your therapist mainly works with the tendinomuscular pathway system. Knowledge of the meridians and specific acupressure points is essential for this type of massage, which provides a deeper effect than working only directly on the muscles. Includes Guasha & cupping.

Physio Floating

This underwater spiral dynamic massage, also developed by Dr. König, takes place outside in the Solepool, a heated saltwater pool at 35° C (95° F). You lie on swimming floats as your therapist massages, moves, mobilizes, and stretches you in the water. Experience zero gravity! This is particularly suitable for difficult back problems or to relax during pregnancy.

Please note that this treatment is carried out in the saltwater pool in the Badehaus and is only possible in fine weather and if outside temperatures permit.

Shining Eyes

A personalized treatment focused on the delicate eye area. This all-in-one package includes extras such as eyebrow shaping, tinting, and/or eyelash tinting.

Microdermabrasion

Using the Reviderm device, this gentle yet effective intensive peeling works deeply to renew the skin. Following an enzyme peel, the outermost layer of dead skin cells is carefully and precisely removed, preparing the skin to absorb nourishing and restorative products. Clinical studies have shown that this treatment refines pores, significantly improves skin elasticity and firmness, and reduces the depth of wrinkles. Additionally, it stimulates the skin’s natural production of collagen and elastin. The microdermabrasion is performed using the dermatologically developed Schloss Elmau Signature Skin Care line. The treatment includes a thorough cleansing, a two-phase enzyme peel, microdermabrasion, a customized serum, and finishing care for the eyes and face.
