Kids-Literature- & Hat-Art-Workshop

in relation to three childrens’ books

with Nadine Schwengenbecher and Fiona Bennett

The two artists will manage and shape the workshop together – and thus immerse the children in three literature projects, a world filled with dreams, fabrics, hats and ideas for unusual and striking head attire.

Monday, the 21.05. – Wednesday, the 23.05
The focal point will be set on the books, and deciphering them using all our senses.

Thursday, the 24.05.
The first sketches and designs of your first hat will be created, and we will practice balancing and posture exercices, and then on

Friday, the 25.05.
We will create and finalise your hat, and present our work.

Nadine Schwengenbecher will head the three literature workshops on the first three days (Monday to Wednesday) by herself, and will work and collaborate with Fiona Bennet the last two workshop days (Thursday and Friday) on the creative and artistic execution of the literary content on hats.

On Thursday, after Fiona Bennet's introduction to the history of hats, the focus will be set on choosing and creating the materials, as well as sketching the children’s ideas, and first fittings.

On the last workshop day, the materials will be fastened on the hat, a small fashion show will be rehearsed and a small photo shoot will take place.
