Badehaus Spa

The Badaehaus is exlusively reserved for adults aged 16+ and features a spectacular 25-metre rooftop infinity pool heated to 32°C in winter and 30°C in summer, a 20-metre saltwater infinity pool heated to 35°C all year round, and an 18-metre sunset infinity pool heated to 35°C in winter and 27°C in summer, where guests may also swim without swimwear.
The spacious saunas and the brine steam bath have direct access to a cold, sheltered plunge pool. In addition to a tea lounge with an open fireplace and several intimate relaxation rooms with magnificent mountain views, the Bathhouse is also home to the Jivamukti Yoga Center and the Pilates Studio, 17 treatment rooms, and the Ananda Spa Restaurant.
Hideaway Oriental Hamam

The 500-square-metre, authentic Oriental hammam offers its guests, in three domed rooms, four treatment rooms, two steam baths and a tea lounge, the most ancient form of spa, where time seems to stand still. The hammam, fitted with Jura stone that is 60–200 million years old, unites Orient and Occident in a unique way.

The Shantigiri Adult Spa at the retreat is set in a breathtaking hillside location and, in addition to a 20-metre infinity pool heated to 32°C, offers a Japanese Onsen at 40°C, an intimate lounge with open fireplace and relaxation room with floor-to-ceiling windows offering spectacular views of the mountains, as well as two areas with saunas and brine steam baths, one of which can be used without swimwear.

Hideaway Spa

The Family Spa in the Hideaway features a 25-metre indoor infinity pool heated to 32°C, a Finnish sauna, a brine steam bath, an infrared cabin and a herbal sauna. Whether Seahorse, Pirate or Bronze – children can learn to swim here through play. The swimming badges can be obtained by individual appointment. We kindly ask for your understanding that we cannot guarantee passing the badge test. Swimming lessons can be booked via the spa reception. One-to-one lessons for basic and beginner swimming are available between 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.
Nature Spa
The vast, pristine Nature Spa with lap pool and rustic sauna on the crystal-clear Ferchenbach stream offers you the ultimate spa experience. In a natural pool about 10 metres long and 1 metre deep, you can not only take an ice bath before and after your sauna session, but also swim in the flowing water. Sauna sessions and ice bathing are possible all year round. The pool, heated to 27°C, is open from June to September. On the daybeds and loungers nestled between the bushes on the banks of the rushing Ferchenbach, you can rest and relax perfectly to the sound of the mountain stream.
Lake Ferchensee
Swimming in the unspoiled Lake Ferchensee, which reaches 22–24°C in summer, is the ultimate highlight of the Schloss Elmau Spa Experience. The idyllic gravel path along the rushing Ferchenbach stream to and around the lake and back to the hotel is a total of 9 km and is not only ideal for a romantic walk, easy hike and bike-ride, but also a perfect route for even the most demanding joggers and runners.
