Arrival Sunday, 19 & 26 September | Departure Friday, 24 & 1 October
September marks the beginning of the rut of the red deer. While these shy wild animals lead a rather secret and quiet life the rest of the year, their rutting cry can now be heard for miles. As dusk begins to fall, the roaring of the male deer, one of the loudest and most impressive voices in European wildlife, can be heard. Hans Reiser, former professional hunter, takes you to observe this natural spectacle at close range.
