E.Mountainbike Camp with Karl Platt
24-29 August 2025

When Karl enters the room, it is filled with his benevolent aura. You can tell that he has not only been biking for over 25 years, but that he has embodied the sport for a quarter of a century. He became German junior downhill champion at the age of 18 and firmly established himself on the international cross-country circuit until 2005, when he switched his focus to the marathon discipline. Karl is one of the few personalities in the bike circus to have helped shape the sport. He recognized the potential of the marathon sport and stage races early on and was one of the pioneers of the Cape Epic and the Transalp. He was involved in the Cape Epic right from the start and now has five overall victories to his name.

As the initiator of Team BULLS, he has also played a key role in the development of the team, but above all the BULLS race bikes, since 2007. Many of Karl's ideas and experience flow into the development of BULLS bikes. Not only do the BULLS pros benefit from this, but as an experienced bike tester Karl also always has an eye on the needs of the passionate amateur athlete. All these qualities have earned him the honorable nickname King Karl in the mountain bike scene.
