During the Yoga Summit, advanced practitioners and beginners alike can experience and get to know the yoga teacher and style that best fit their needs. In addition to the daily yoga classes and workshops, meditations and lectures are also held daily. A delicious selection of vegan, vegetarian and/or Asian dishes is available at all mealtimes. 

As part of the Covid-19-related protective measures we would like to ask you to please bring your own yoga mat to the classes or buy one at the Spa Shop. Yoga classes are limited to 60 minutes until further notice. During the classes, the windows will be kept open, so please bring warm clothing as needed, depending on outdoor temperatures. Aids such as belts, blocks or pillows will not be given out, and yoga practice will be adapted to the circumstances. You will find a blanket in your room; please bring it with you to the classes.

Dr. Patrick Broome is a pioneer of modern yoga in Germany. He owes his fame to his talent for teaching yoga on a physical, psychological, and spiritual level, as a tangible and feasible concept of life for people with a Western lifestyle.  For him, yoga is a powerful tool that can help anyone to relax and develop inner strength in their hectic everyday lives. Born in Germany and raised in California, Patrick lives with his two children in Munich, where he runs four yoga studios. He has taught yoga for over 20 years, trains yoga teachers, and runs his own PBY training academy. He is the author of “Yoga for You,” “Yoga for All,” “Yoga for Men,” “Living with Yoga,” and “Spiritual Warriors.” More:

Karl Straub
Karl Straub Yoga

Karl Straub was born in North Carolina in 1965, and was introduced to meditation around the age of 10. He is a former competitive swimmer, dolphin communication researcher, and graduate of Duke University. He worked as a school teacher, artist, and IT consultant, until he made a big decision to leave his IT job and career path in New York City to explore deeper into meditation and yoga. He sold and donated his belongings, set off on an odyssey of 8 years during which he kept no apartment anywhere and traveled just with what he could carry. He studied with many teachers including Zen master Keido Fukushima, the Indian yogi Swami Bua, David Life and Sharon Gannon (co-founders of Jivamukti Yoga), and others, from whom he gathered inspiration to express precision, depth, and humor in his own teaching. Karl has taught at festivals, conferences, and studios in over 40 cities and 12 countries. He currently lives in Switzerland and offers retreats and workshops worldwide.


Anna Trökes
Prana Yoga

Anna Trökes has been teaching yoga since 1974, and is the author of more than 30 yoga publications. A big priority in Anna Trökes' classes is a mindful handling of the body. A relaxed yoga practice with many gentle stretches and rhythmic movements helps the fasciae to become softer and more permeable again, allowing the muscles they encase to relax again. The breathing exercises reliably release tensions and resistance in the mind and spirit, so that we can counteract tensions more effectively and lastingly.

Johannes Mikenda
Jivamukti Yoga

Johannes is an advanced certified Jivamukti Yoga Teacher, a member of the Jivamukti Advanced Board, and Director of the Jivamukti Yoga School at Elmau. His lessons are designed to convey the essence of yoga in a way that can be used in everyday life. Based on background as a therapist and sports scientist, he teaches individually tailored exercise programs.


Nicole Bongartz
Vinyasa Yoga

With her multifariously inspired yoga classes and workshops, which cannot easily be assigned to any one yoga style, Nicole is certainly one of the most colourful personalities of the German yoga scene. Her classes provide encouragement to try a powerful and courageous approach, and inspiration to leave the beaten track and make your own yoga path even more colorful. Always remaining grounded, warm, and with a great deal of joie de vivre, Nicole stays close to her students and knows how to inspire even the biggest yoga skeptics with great empathy and ease. 


Corinna Wahl

Conny has been teaching yoga for over 10 years and inspires her students with her tireless efforts to make yoga practice an integral “part of life.” Based on her experience as a coach and mentor in a professional/ banking context, she is responsible for the field of personal development. She offers profound “takeaway” knowledge in this area, both as part of basic training and in a special advanced course.
