During the Yoga Summit, advanced practitioners and beginners alike can experience and compare outstanding yoga teachers of different yoga styles. In addition to the daily yoga classes and workshops, meditations and lectures are also held daily. A delicious selection of vegan, vegetarian and/or Asian dishes is available at all mealtimes. One absolute highlight is the concert featuring Soumik Datta & Friends from India.

 

Patricia Thielemann, Spirit Yoga

For over a decade now, this Berlin native has been decisively shaping the identity of modern yoga in the German-speaking world. Patricia's sense for the extraordinary, her discipline, and her sensitivity flow into the style that she has developed over the years. She demonstrates impressively that a rich yoga tradition, combined with a contemporary approach, helps people to master the challenges of everyday life in our modern age. The participants of her classes master their yoga practice, as well as life beyond the mat, with renewed strength, visor, and clarity.

Karl Straub, Karl Straub Yoga

Karl Straub was born in North Carolina in 1965, and was introduced to meditation around the age of 10. He is a former competitive swimmer, dolphin communication researcher, and graduate of Duke University. He worked as a school teacher, artist, and IT consultant, until he made a big decision to leave his IT job and career path in New York City to explore deeper into meditation and yoga. He sold and donated his belongings, set off on an odyssey of 8 years during which he kept no apartment anywhere and traveled just with what he could carry. He studied with many teachers including Zen master Keido Fukushima, the Indian yogi Swami Bua, David Life and Sharon Gannon (co-founders of Jivamukti Yoga), and others, from whom he gathered inspiration to express precision, depth, and humor in his own teaching. Karl has taught at festivals, conferences, and studios in over 40 cities and 12 countries. He currently lives in Switzerland and offers retreats and workshops worldwide.

 

Gabriela Bozic, Jivamukti Yoga

Gabriela Bozic is one of Germany's most popular yoga instructors, and also internationally known for her dynamic and passionate way of teaching yoga. Her humorous teaching style is infused with vibrancy and warmth. She holds a degree in linguistics and is one of Munich’s first Advanced Certified Jivamukti teachers, having co-founded the Jivamukti Yoga Centers in Munich. She teaches at retreats, workshops and yoga conferences all over the world, and has been on the permanent team of Sharon Gannon and David Life's international Jivamukti teacher trainings since 2005.

Anna Trökes, Prana Yoga

Anna Trökes has been teaching yoga since 1974, and is the author of more than 30 yoga publications. A big priority in Anna Trökes' classes is a mindful handling of the body. A relaxed yoga practice with many gentle stretches and rhythmic movements helps the fasciae to become softer and more permeable again, allowing the muscles they encase to relax again. The breathing exercises reliably release tensions and resistance in the mind and spirit, so that we can counteract tensions more effectively and lastingly.

Nicole Bongartz, Vinyasa Yoga

With her multifariously inspired yoga classes and workshops, which cannot easily be assigned to any one yoga style, Nicole is certainly one of the most colourful personalities of the German yoga scene. Her classes provide encouragement to try a powerful and courageous approach, and inspiration to leave the beaten track and make your own yoga path even more colorful. Always remaining grounded, warm, and with a great deal of joie de vivre, Nicole stays close to her students and knows how to inspire even the biggest yoga skeptics with great empathy and ease. 

 

Timo Wahl, Timo Wahl Yoga

Dynamic yoga, but anatomically precise and well-controlled. Classes that are systematically structured to take you deep into asanas that would otherwise be particularly difficult for you. Strenuous, but delightful and inspiring. The teacher's experience and knowledge become tangible in your own practice.
