Sebastian Kienle has won everything an IRONMAN can win. He became European champion three times in Frankfurt, twice won the world title for the IRONMAN 70.3 distance, and with his victory at the IRONMAN World Championship in Hawaii achieved the greatest feat triathlon has to offer. He is a fanatic who leaves nothing to chance - a perfectionist, a hard worker, and a fighter. His passion for the sport, his discipline and determination is what has made him what he is today: Sebastian Kienle, one of the world's most successful triathletes.
Kathrin has been a passionate racing cyclist since 2016. Apart from the athletic aspect, discovering nature and idyllic places is at least as important to her in the sport. She likes to take time for breaks, be it for a good espresso or simply to take a nice photo and let nature work its magic on her. Fun always comes first on her tours, because what could be better than exploring new routes by bike and enjoying the diversity of the surrounding landscape.
His love of sports began at the age of 4 when he learned to swim. Since 2005, his passion has been road cycling. His CV includes successful participation in three long-distance triathlons (Zurich, Frankfurt, Mallorca) and participation in competitions such as the Ötztal Cycle Marathon, Maratona del Dolomiti, Alpenbrevet, and Paris-Roubaix. He has been fascinated by bike packing since 2021 and has already bike-packed across Germany from north to south. René Zeise is Purchasing Manager and Controller at Schloss Elmau and knows the region inside out.
He is our local expert who knows every nook and cranny within a radius of 100 km. A native of Hamburg, René Zeise has lived in Garmisch-Partenkirchen for 14 years.
Christian Scheler has loved sport since his earliest childhood, not only as a hobby, but above all as a competitive sport. It started with swimming, followed by martial arts, soccer and basketball. The first marathon distances and mountain runs followed, culminating in his participation in his first mountain bike marathon at the Garmisch Classics in 2010. His love of sport paved the way to triathlon with starts in Olympic and middle distance competitions and, last but not least, this year's long distance race in Roth. But that's not all for the Director Hideaway: he knows his way around the terrain and is an expert on the best running routes around Schloss Elmau.
