Oriental Hamam

The Schloss Elmau Oriental Hamam in midst one of Bavaria's most beautiful spots is a perfect blend of oriental design and Bavarian craftsmanship. The hamam offers 500 square metres of space featuring three domed rooms with navel stones, four treatment rooms, two steam baths, and an Oriental Tea Lounge. The hamam was jointly designed by Dietmar Mueller-Elmau and Ahmet Igdirligil,a Turkish hamam architect from Bodrum, using 200-million-year-old Bavarian Jurassic stone from Solnhofen. The result is a fascinating symbiosis between Bavaria and the Orient.

The Turkish bath -- as the hamam is also traditionally called -- at Schloss Elmau boasts a high degree of authenticity. Like an original hamam in Istanbul, Schloss Elmau's Oriental Hamam is not just an oasis of wellness, but also a place for meeting and socializing. Arabic sweets, teas, and more await you in the lounge. Occasionally you will witness a game of chess or find yourself engaged in interesting conversation. The hamam at Schloss Elmau offers space for pure relaxation.
