The Retreat was opened in 2015 and is located on a sunny hilltop 150 m west of the Hideaway. Grand yet intimate interiors connect the ultimate in casual luxury and understatement with breathtaking views of the lofty Wetterstein Mountains and rushing Ferchenbach Creek.
The Retreat served as the residence for the heads of state and government during the G7 Summits 2015 and 2022 and features 47 spacious rooms & suites (60-200 sqm), restaurants for adults as well as families, a library lounge with open fire places and several terraces, separate spas and pools for adults and families, a Japanese Onsen Pool and the spectacular Yoga Pavillon and Summit Pavillon, which both have also been used for meetings during the G7 Summits.
